Captain Patrick Mann retired after a 32-year career with the Buffalo Police Department. He worked in patrol, administration, and training. His last assignment was Director of Training.
He continues to instruct Elder Abuse, Crimes against the Elderly, Law Enforcement Ethics and First Responder Disability Awareness for Law Enforcement at the Erie County (NY) Law Enforcement Training Academy for the basic police recruit and police supervision class. He is also a member of the Law Enforcement Training Directors Association of New York State.
Captain Mann was active with the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics as a volunteer and on the New York State Board of Directors. He was also a member of the Board of Directors for the Buffalo Police Athletic Club (BPAC).
He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Buffalo Police Athletic League (PAL), President of the Police Emerald Society, is a member of the advisory board for First Responder Disability Awareness Training for First Responders, and is a master trainer for law enforcement for the program.
